that is SO cute - good for eddie.
are redbacks really poisonous? is it normal to have that many around?
wow. way to go anita finding them and killing them! I was reading the wiki article and they are certainly very poisonous (they produce a neurotoxin which is active in humans called alpha-latrotoxin). But apparently death from red back bite is extremely rare and while the symptoms related to a bite can be really uncomfortable, it's not *super* dangerous. They apparently have a fairly widely available antivenom which is really effective. Not that I would find that super comforting if I felt like my girliculas were being threatened. Yikesola.
On the other hand, the spider strikes me as pysically very beautiful. Maybe I'm just creepy =)
