Norfolk (T)

During our blog outage, we took a trip to Norfolk for a long weekend. On the way we passed an RAF airforce base, full of fighter planes. This led Eddie into one of his favoured topics, the likely winners of battles between various combitants. The airforce base led him to pose to me the question, who would win, a figher plane and a rat, against a solider ('fighting man') and a dog. I favoured the rat/plane combination, though largely on the strength of the plane, though I accepted his point that the man/dog combination could hide out under cover of the trees.

oh, I LOVE those sort of questions! I agree that the rat/plane would have the fighting superiority, but also that the man/dog could hide almost indefinitely and therefore 'win' by simply not being killed ;)

I got your postcard, too! thank you very much :)
it's in pride of place on the fridge door :)

I suppose it would depend on whether the rat needed to fly the plane, it may not have much luck seeing out the windscreen, & the man/dog could easily go the poison option against the rat & unmanned plane.....but if its one of those autopilot pre programmed 2 destroy planes mr rat would be much more likely 2 succeed....

Eddie is SO like you were at his age Tom! for me as your elder sister, it is an absolute delight to relate to Eddie, and to hear all your stories! You are part of the window through which I regard my childhood life Tom - you were always there! Thanks!

HI Baker St Jones'
I am seeing whether I can redeem any miles to come visit you all in England, and was wondering if the weekend of Reuben and Sam's birthdays might work, otherwise, would October work? I'm thinking 3-5 days. I miss you all and so want to see the bigger 4 you, and meet Reuben!
love M
