Sunday morning TV (T)

A nice lazy Sunday morning with the 3 boys, we watched the cricket (live from Perth) and the men's tennis final (live from Melbourne). When these palled, I put on some old 'top gear' specials, featuring races between cars and aeroplanes, plus the one where they try to build a space shuttle. The space shuttle works remarkably well, the takeoff is a success, but the final fuel pod remains attached to the 'shuttle' (a little car) and so the whole thing crashes to earth. At the end, Eddie said he wanted to watch it again, and that this time "he hoped that the space shuttle would come off properly". Now he's come back again because another episode finishes prematurely (it's just a preview). "God should have made it a bit longer" was his first thought.

I was very sad that Federer lost. Good to hear of Eddie's theology. Maybe he needs to factor in human sin, and suffering.

Does he believe that all that he sees on television is direct from God?!

He's still working through the question of human agency.
