Other than a white easter, the highlight was the North Yorkshire Moors Railway...
Photos of Sebastian you can see his missing tooth...we also took him to his 'spiritual home' Castle Howard...
If you've keen eyes, Anita is in two of these photos.

White Easter (T)
Approaching Christmas each year in this country there is eager anticipation whether or not it will snow on Christmas Day. Bookies lay odds, people place bets, and so there is some technical definition of whether or not it is a "White Christmas". No such build up normally applies to Easter, but this year we got a White Easter, at least up north in Yorkshire, where we 5 5/9ths (including Kathryn H) spent the holidays. The Church was just down from our cottage, and we went there for a lovely by-the-book Easter morning service.

Hampden Gurney (T)
Yesterday I took Eddie along to a possible school (he won't start till 2009 but these things take a while it seems). Intriguingly named Hampden Gurney it's supposed to be particularly good and is walking distance. As is the way in London, the 3 nursery/reception teachers who spoke at the open day were all antipodean, in this case all South African. We met some of the kids who were very sweet, and came away with a good impression, Eddie very keen on the play areas.

Poor Sebastian's Tooth (T)
Yesterday poor Sebastian lost a tooth. He fell from a chair in the kitchen, while playing with his brother. There were tears and blood, though the remarkable and poignant thing is how quickly afterwards Sebastian was laughing and eating. The missing tooth is not one of his main top two teeth, it's the one to left of those. We haven't found it yet presumably he swallowed it.

More TV (T)
We're discovering and enjoying the benefit of the "third parent", the Television. Eddie watches avidly, and when we turn it off he'll sometimes say "but there's more TV". Which is unanswerable.
Sebastian is just moving out of a phase of throwing his food on the floor, which he does while fixing his eyes on yours. It's a real mexican standoff, and he brings the food in his hand, towards his mouth while locking eyes, and then moves his hand the other way, holding it threateningly over the ground from his high chair. Whatever we do, the food always gets it.
