Anita & Eddie (T)

I have just changed Eddie's nappy and put him down; we have returned from the hospital, where, rather dramatically, Anita has been having tests for the last few days. All being well with a final test in the morning, she will be discharged lunchtime on Friday. She has some sort of blood infection, and combined with her pregnancy, the hospital is being pretty careful.

Eddie is 18 months old today. Here are three things that may or may not distinguish him from every other child in the world, but definitely distinguish him from his parents:
- like a lorry, he beeps when he goes backwards, particularly when navigating some vehicle
- like a russian, he says 'da' for yes. He also says 'dada' for thank you
- he is obsessed with buses, mobile phones and remote controls

I'm vv happy that you're home, Anita. Funny little boy, with his backward beeping.

I think most children are obsessed with remote controls etc. And you know when they have them! There is silence...and then you realise there is silence...and you find child and forbiden article 'hiding'. I'm glad you are ok Anita.

I'm very glad of this news of Eddie's 'beeping'. It means I think of him (and you all) frequently - every time I hear a large vehicle reversing!
