The Sensory Room

Monday mornings mean 'Baby Fun' in the Sensory Room at the Portman Early Childhood Centre. Today Eddie and I had the room to ourselves for a while so I took some snaps to give you an idea of how cool it is in there. I've done the formal training to use the room, so I can officially turn on all the lovely UV lights, bubbly tubes, slide-shows, disco ball, flashing fibreoptics, tactile panel, infinity hut, dolphin music etc. etc. Us mums love it as much as the babies.

By the way, Eddie is not well at the moment... very unhappy with a nagging cold, thus the rather plaintive look up at the photographer. He has gone off his food, even his *favourite* rice cakes. Hopefully the coming of Spring will help sort him out.

it almost looks like he's standing doesn't it...he's actually on his knees, having crawled over to me, dear boy

Yes, I thought he was standing. It's a very sweet photo. I'm glad to see you enjoying yourself so much, Anita, even if Eddie was feeling poorly. It looks great fun!

Hi Tom and Anita,

I hadn't realised it. But I have the same Blog look as you!

Great minds...

Fools...

Great to read your Blog again. May list it in my links if I can figure that out again.

Eddie will be a genius, with all that sensory stimulation. It reminds me of that room David Allsop created for the Ed Dept, in Ky. Do you remember, Tom? Tho' his wasn't for such little people.

He's very taken with those blue pom-poms.

Eddie, not David Allsop.

those blue pom poms feel like toilet brushes. once one of the children said they felt like one of them women's hair... she was mortified. i laughed and laughed.
