Along with the drama of moving house with our (2 of them sick) small boys, losing my bank card, being very pregnant, having a brand new aupair arrive and come live with us, in a new house with its own strange history and broken plumbing...on a freezing day in march, the camera battery went flat.
I had no idea where the charger was - still don't - so i bought a new one and discovered these images. These shots were taken c. the time of our move, stella's birth, my parents visit, wow! it is good to see them, and i want to show some that are dear to me (apologies for the repeated ones of the house - i seem to be too brain dead to fight the computer tonight)
Some early pictures of the house - taken when we first moved in (march)
Dear reuben was so sick when we first moved - he was so dehydrated, unable to keep anything down for days - he got quite thin
Eddie was robin hood for school book week and here he and seb fight for the camera before school
Martha's first visit to the house
Mothers day
Wow- that big round ball of a belly is stella
Mum and dad are here!
2nd april - a baby born....
Junko, my midwife - a day after stella's birth (Junko has now had her own baby boy)

Thank you for the memories and the photos. Good to be reminded of our time with you in London. It wasn't cold all the time just some time.
Lots of love Mum and Dad, Opa and Oma xxxxxx
thank you again for all the wonderful work you both did on the house - making it SO much nicer

these are lovely anita, tell such a wonderful tale. what a CRAZY time that was when you moved! love s
i know! i remember having plasters all over my fingers bcse my fingers got all split at the finger tips, bcse of the cold and ripping open our boxes
also there were no curtains in our bedroom so i was waking in the night, some of the radiators would not work, and for some reason it was freezing.... the washing machine and dishwasher packed it in at different points, etc etc etc
these pictures and your commentary ANita have made me cry - happy tears - i am so glad you found these beautiful photos documenting such important big steps in your life as a family. i love you 6! happy birthday dearest Reuben!!!! now we have the right number, hopefully we'll get to talk to you all! love meg
That downstairs back room looks very cosy and snug in these pics.
yes, doesn't it.
we r deciding whether to make it a bedroom now... certainly it will have some of the MASSES of our books in it...a friend who has stayed in the basement says it shld be a music room for the boys (tom does not use it much as a study...it is so much lighter in the house)

They are delightful! And a rather belated happy birthday to You Anita, from the wilds of the Jordanian Desert. Its not that wild really, just crazy when it comes to weddings. Eddie and Seb would have loved seeing the men dance with a sword, but maybe not so much the random guy shooting a gun in the air and sending fireworks off into the powerlines. Am heading back to Oz for a visit in August. xx annie
