The Car (T)

Last weekend we did a whirlwind tour of southwest England in our new(ish)...car. Pictured below at the beach in Cornwall, where it was even feasible to swim, although we didn't.




The churchyard at night nearly proved our undoing, as we lost the keys while taking the snap. Thankfully the AA came through with the goods; apparently Mercedes recommend that you break a window to get into a car (where our spare keys were), their point being that it's near impossible to break into the car. It isn't.

Breakfast Scene (T)

Tom feeds sebastian, who has taken to removing each mouthful with his little hands and examining it before popping it back in to finish. It makes spoonfeeding a bit useless, and is particularly messy with weetabix.

Anita (singing): "We're going to go go go when the sun goes down, whoa.."

Eddie (seriously): "We're not going to go go go when the sun goes down, we'll go to sleep."

4-Night in Bangkok (T)

We greatly enjoyed a 4 night stop over in Bangkok, which we shared with Rachel and Victor, down from their home in Chang Mai.


Highlights were Sunday Service at Christ Church, afternoon tea at the Peninsula, and a languid trip on a Water Taxi through all the canals off the main Bangkok river. Get one driven by a Woman, they are substantially less likely to sink. Many of the houses that we passed on the canals have no road-access, they rely on the water to get about, like in venice.
